Self Love - Day 8

One of the importnat lessons I m learning right now in self love process is to
SET THE BOUNDARIES.

I love to help people. I love to see them happy and taping into their potential. As much as I don t have clarity with myself, I can often see or "smell" the huge potential in others. But I m also sometimes giving so much that I go burned out myself.
I m also focusing so much on achievement of others that I forgot my own. Then the anger, resentment and victimizing feeling comes and it is all wasted.
THIS IS NOT THE WAY.
Example from my life right now:
Yesterday, I had huge conversation with my brother. Last 14 years I m more less in charge of him. As he wrote me, I protect him and I nourish him. I m everything he has and I m asking him to live his life. So he is getting upset and naughty to attract my attention and keep me busy with his life instead of my life (and my tree kids and husbands life...). He lives in FEAR and this fear is affecting him and all  family last 14 years. Don t forget, where Fear is, Love has no space.

I want him to live in Love, in Trust, in Creativity. I want him to trust to himself and to love himself. But for this, I have to start with myself, as usual. Be the change...it is the quote that is just buzzzing in my head over and over. If I want my bro to love himself, I have to love myself. I have to set example, and I have to SET BOUNDARIES. Then, eventualy, he will want himself to live in Love, in Trust, in Creativity...because my wantings are not enough for him...

So...see where do you feel drained. In which relationship. What is your pattern. Then look at you and  FEEL what YOU need out of it, what you need for yourself, regardless everything else. And between the draining pattern and your own feeling of need for well being is the space where you have to set the boundaries.

You can t give what you don t have, and sometimes the best you do for yourself is also the best for other, setting him free of dependency  and fear. Your clarity is bringing the Light on the path of others. Painful, sometimes, but always with Love at the end of the tunnel.
SET BOUNDARIES NOW.

Self Love - Day 7

Do you try to be this perfect nice little girl that you were conditioned by your education to be?
If yes, you have some amount of anger in your system. Today, we will get it all OUT.

WRITE YOUR ANGRY LETTER.

Take a pen, white sheet of paper, and just start to write. Whatever comes to your mind, that make you angry. Spit it for your own sake. How you are pissed off with him, because he did not answer your email. How you can t see her anymore, because she is talking too much. How you feel hurt, because your parents just don t care...and that you hate your boss.
At the end, just tear apart the paper with your anger and trow it in the garbage, burn it, whatever, but don t keep it with you.

Let it OUT, then let it GO.

Clean the system of your anger and have a fabulous day!

Self Love - Day 6

I could not write on my blog for few days now. Staying in the mood of the self love, for sure, observing around, but too busy-too tired-too whatever. I felt guilty the first day, but then I saw that the guilt is killing the self love.
So I STOPPED  TO BEAT MYSELF .

It is actual very nice self love treat...what about we stop to beat ourselves at least for one single day? Can you catch your thoughts telling you how stupid are you? How ugly? How fat? How unreliable? How lazy? How whatever your mind can find? Can you catch your mind coming in roung towards one or more events and aggravate the pain...all in the past, causing the fear from the future? Like..."Oh, I really should NOT  tell her what I think about her husband...now what will happen?"

STOP TO BEAT YOURSELF at least for today. Things are how they are supposed to be, and you can learn from it...and keep walking.

Self Love - Day 5

I discovered something that makes me feel everytime. No exception.
GET OUT OF THE COMFORT ZONE AND TRY SOMETHING NEW!

I did today, and it was just fabulous. I spent the day trying to figure out the acro yoga positions, and I shared with wonderful young people. But it can be whatever that we think we will not dare...and we do. From big stuff to little, but it is always about overcome fear, learn something new and regardless the result, what bring already nice feeling about ourselves is the fact we TRYED. We had enough courage to face it and even feel sometimes ridiculouse, fall, get up and try again. Sometimes we had not the good result, but at least we know what is not for us.

I did a lot of years back the diving diploma Paddi diver. I nearly died. I tryed again, but it was never the good feeling, so I gave up. It is not for me.
Today I tryed acro yoga...I felt few times, but as much I felt, I stand up and start again. I m sure I will come back to it again.

Both examples are satisfying at the end, because we did something for us today...and it feels good. This is the point, right?;)

Self Love - Day 4

SMILE.
Today is easy day... from the first sight. My trick for today is TO SMILE. Smile when we can, when we think about it, smuile to others, smile for us, smile at us, and even  get the inner smile.
As kid, I red that "the smile is sometimes the most beautiful gift we can offer". So smile...
but please, get in front of the mirror and smile for little moment to yourself. And give the beautiful compliments to you. Because the most beautiful gift, you deserve it FIRST!

Self Love - Day 4

I still remember one hard day in India, when I came to my yoga class, I could hardly bend, I had to cry for while out of the class, and when I was leaving, all my friends - angels asked me to go home and have a rest. I was out of balance, but I insisted that I have to go to spend the day in the slums with the french association taking care about kids in the "bus". Everybody insisted, then my teacher said:
"Let her go. Helping others, she will help herself."

He cannot be more right. I have clear idea about self less service to others. Yes, we are there, we care, we help, we work, without expectation of thanks, without material compensation. We do because it has to be done and we are there. But...it feels good. We feel good. And we can do the social work, charity or service not out of the interest, in the sens that we are doing it for US!
TO DO GOOD FEELS GOOD.

And this would be my recommendation for pampering of Day 4 of Self Love: DO GOOD. While you are sharing your yoga teaching with  children or friends, or you spend the time with your grand mother, or you chat for while with homeless person bringing her back her self esteem...while you work in some association or just help somebody on the street to cross or to find the address...while you raise the money for Africa or just bake cookies for your neighbors...you do good. You creat positive energy around you. You live LOVE.
And this is the moment that heal also your own wounds.

Selfless service can be completely egoistic, but you actualy don t feed the ego. You are creating the change. And this shift is bringing you closer to who you are...LOVE.

Self Love - Day 3

My dear friend from Canada inspired me for my today self love treat. She loves the sweet, but her general condition went so down, that she had to cut the sugar from the health point of view. Let s think about it. We don t need the refinet sugar in our menu. It is actually quite poisoning for our system: insulin spikes, candida, cavities, wrinkles, osteoporosis, cravings,  belly fat, getting "hyper" and so on.

From yoga point of view, I m just coming back to basics, and I feel like "Let's  Niyamas for few days."

If I decide to cut the sugar from my diet for 3 weeks, I will definitely work on Sauca, purity. One of the aim of the yoga is to get rid of impurities from body and mind, and the sugar is bringing both. Not only the body react in the sick way, but also the mind getting attached on sweet taste, spending energy on cravings and struggling can have more peace without sugar income.

Samtosa, contentement. I can  put in  practice, if I stop to crave the ice-cream of my kids and I can be content with what I have, it will free me from the suffering of attachment on the external things to bring me happiness...now, I have to admit that a big portion of pistachio ice cream CAN bring me happiness...of course, for little moment :)

Tapas (asceticism) is a yogic practice of intense self-discipline and attainment of will power...aha, there is not need any more explanation, I guess...not to eat sugar is ALL about Tapas.!

Svadhyaya, self study. Here I have a  great opportunity to observe and learn from my reactions how am I clinging, how I can be attached, how I can let my mind be the boss and how my senses can manage my life instead being in control myself. Because to struggle and think half of my time about sugar, ice cream and chocolate, it is still a lot of energy being given to it...let s observe how I can handle! Hmmmmm, chocolate meditation...

Ishvara Pranidhana, devotion and surrender of the fruits of our effort to higher power. I always struggle with this one, but after little reflex ion I just had the feeling that I can apply this principle too. I m living the experience of learning, and I share it with you, surrendering the fruits of my effort to you...and you are all of divine nature...so the higer power!

Little revision of basics...of course in my personal interpretation, and now driving to the trampoline camp to celebrate my son's birthday. My car is loaded of sweets !

I will tell you tommorrow how my practice went:):):)
Do you want to try too?
